The special music for Sunday

Photo Sharing - Upload Video - Video Sharing - Share Photos

Emma and Andrew sing, "There is a Redeemer".
I think they were both singing "alto"....we'll work on the melody! :)

snowed in for sunday services

We had services today with "Pastor Dad" sharing from Psalm 139. Nanny and Papa, Ben, Bryan, and the rest of the belford family enjoyed singing and sharing....then the Mexican potluck followed the service!!!! We got about 12 inches of snow! We were reminded that "though our sins are as scarlet, they shall be WHITE as snow!" Praise God for sending Jesus to die so that we can accept His payment on the cross as our ONLY hope of Heaven. I am thankful for my salvation today and that Christ forgave my sin and saved my soul!! I am very burdened for my children's salvation.

YEAH---Daddy's coming home!

The weather was so beautiful yesterday (around 25 degrees) so the kids ran to meet Brent when he came home. Chloe's hat prevented her from going the right way at first. Poor thing :)

decorations

Jackie Hine gave me the idea of painting wooden blocks and putting them on my wall to complement this shower curtain. VERY SIMPLE and VERY CHEAP (.99 for the can of spray paint) decoration!

"Such Fun Together"

a helpful quote

Chloe sneaking out of bed to the chair while I wasn't looking. I caught her... :)

Andrew sleeping in the van on Valentine's Day....that's when the baby's locked me out of the van in the Walmart parking lot.....Brent was paged in the store....long story, Andrew was stuck in his seatbelt...people were driving to see the twins in the front seat while I was telling them how to unlock the door. Anyway, 6 min. later in the frozen tundra, Andrew got free and came to our aid!! So much for a peaceful time shopping :)

The amazing, creative Heart-shaped pancakes for V-day that Andrew said tasted better than my "other" ones.

Emma said at Breakfast this morning, "Mom, Mrs. K. said we don't know who we're going to marry....and we don't have to worry about that." Whew! One less thing to worry about as an almost 6 yr. old! Thanks to her Kindergarden teacher!
Andrew is actually at Camp Clearwaters with Brent this wkd. as Brent is speaking for a snow camp. An hour into their trip yesterday, our green van's transmission died....Thanks to LaTrisha Fipps, I was able to go and deliver our red van to him, so he could still go preach!

Steadfast Love

I was reading today about the STEADFAST LOVE of the Lord. Lam. 3:22-23 says, "The STEADFAST LOVE of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." Joel 2:13b, "The Lord....is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in STEADFAST LOVE." Psalm 62:12, "To you , O Lord, belongs STEADFAST LOVE."
As I was writing my Valentine card to my STEADY husband this morning, I thought how much he shows me God's Steadfast Love. Today, I am thankful for my wonderful Lord, my amazing husband, and loving children. My desire is to show God's Steadfast Love to those around me. Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!

the last week

This week of recovery for Emma has been real tough. She's been awake more through the night than I remember her being as a newborn. Today, 12 days after her tonsils out, she is FINALLY ready to go to school. I AM SOO GLAD! She's been able to rest a lot, has lost lots of weight, and lived on frozen gogurts. She told me that if my tonsils ever grew back, I should have them taken out so I could lose weight too :) Such an encourager.

My twins had their bangs cut by "Aunt Tami" and they look so much more grown up now. Chloe is in the pink and Eden is in the blue.

Andrew enjoyed my mom's dog when he slept over, since Andrew got to enjoy the cage...He's kinda strange sometimes :) And as always, I am chasing Chloe out of the bathroom sink. She gets disciplined each time, you'd think she'd learn.
So, that's about all for now. I'm just catching up on some sleep and REJOICING that it's the WEEKEND!!!!

Today

3 years ago today Emily Valentine, Jackie Hine and I went to Norway Baptist Church to pick out the paint colors for our church auditorium. Emily actually picked out the main color. At the time, I was pregnant with our 3rd baby. On the way home, I felt funny and told Em that I was probably going to lose this baby. That night, God took our baby girl to Heaven. Em stayed and watched the kids. The following month, Emily Jo was taken to Heaven as well. Today, I am watching the Doolittle children for a short time, who's daddy just entered the gates of Heaven last Saturday.

I am reminded that life is short and what I strive for today should be things that have eternal value. I am so easily distracted with the "trials" of lack of sleep, that it blurs my vision for the things of eternity. I am striving to be a godly wife and mom and friend. Our life is "Only a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away." Oh for the day that we are all in the presence of our dear Savior. What a day that will be!!!

2 years ago, God gave me 2 little girls on the same day. I just cried when I thought that God had given me 2 girls when He had taken that sweet soul to Heaven. He is always good. Nahum 1:7
