ALL PILED UP!

Emma has been feeling worse each day since surgery. I heard that it gets worse before it gets better! She hasn't talked much today....such a quiet suprise :) Anyway, Brent is at Heart Conference and also preparing for the sessions he's teaching, so the kids and I PILED UP on our bed and watched the good ole movie: 'Honey, we shrunk ourselves.' Kinda weird movie, but great bonding time :)

Patient is fine...just a very sore throat

Emma did very well. She was very brave and only got scared when the I.V. was going in. I cried when they wheeled her into the O.R. but was quickly reminded by Brent that this was a routine surgery and to be thankful it wasn't serious. It took 3 doses of anesthesia med. to knock her out :) She kept talking and counting backwards and said she was still awake. I told the nurse to just give her an adult dosage since she has sooo much energy!! Anyway, she's doing fine, had the Bennett girls visit and her nanny and papa.
Thanks so much for your encouragement and prayers for her continued healing.

Tonsils out in the morning

Emma Grace is scheduled for surgery at 8:15 am tomorrow. Please pray that she does well (Especially her mom and dad as she goes away from them for a whole hour)... Her tonsils are soooo GINORMOUS that it's a wonder she can swallow at all. She'll get her adnoids out as well. I'll post more pics of the patient later. Thanks for your prayers.

My Artist Aunt's Painting

If anyone is interested in ordering a painting from my very talented Aunt Margie, you can email her at menageriedesigns@yahoo.com
I asked her to paint something for my entry, and she brought me this wonderful painting. Just thought I'd show you all her work :)

Recent Events have led to lack of BLOGGING :)

Hi to all my sweet friends in the blogging world! I hope you've been doing well. Life seems like a blur to me these days. We had in-service here at Northlando 2 weeks ago. Then, Brent ran the Master of Ministry class with 58 pastors last week. And, this week is the first of the semester for the students.
I have stayed busy here at home, painting the kids beds (we were given a loft bed and a matching twin). The 3 girls now are sharing a room. I think they are FINALLY doing better at going to bed...little stinkers....naughty!!! But, they do love their BIG GIRL beds. Emma's doing great with the adjustment and is a big help! I've been painting Andrew's room BLUE and I am not done with the red accents yet.
I had a suprise 50th for my mom too with 34 in attendance at a restaurant in Iron Mtn.
Soooo, Needless to say, life has been nuts, but God is always MY PERSONAL STRENGTH and I praise Him for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life---my personal Helper! Praise Him.
Love to you all!

random pics of christmas vacation

Here are some action shots of the events of the last month. We enjoyed our time here at home with my family for the first 2 weeks of vacation. Then, we travelled to PA for the first week of January. We are home now. We are getting ready for a week of in-service, and then Brent's office runs the Grad week for pastors who come for blocked courses.

We saw, "Mama kissing Santa Clause" and I was able to direct the children's choir in our church for the Christmas program.

We're ready to get back to a "normal" schedule now.
