REMEMBERING GOD!
I just want to let you all know that I am grateful for you and your testimonies to me. Thank you for your encouragement yesterday!!!! I have been reading in Isaiah. I hear that the 1st 32 chapters are difficult to understand. It's true, yet God has been showing Himself to me through this book in a mighty way. Isaiah 17:10-11 says, "For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge....though you plant, yet the harvest will flee away." I was struck with the truth that it is so easy to get self-sufficient, to forget our God. The self-life is a destructive one as seen in the rest of the chapter--and in many of my days.
May we remember our GREAT God and offer our lives to Him as our reasonable act of WORSHIP.

Just curious because of your reading of Isaiah--did you start the "Breaking Free" study?
Not yet. I am going to start that after I'm done with Isaiah. Have you done that one??
Ps. 73:26 "My flesh and my heart faileth: but GOD is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever."
i love that!
I am doing it for the second time. I had started it with Anna Beers before she moved, and we have taken a break for now until she gets settled. It is my favorite one that I have done so far.
Isn't it funny the verses that God illuminates to us? I'm in the Psalms right now so there's always something very applicable and strangely relevant to what I'm experiencing at the moment. I LOVE seeing the sovereignty of God in little ways like that! Like planning what we'll read in our Bible time to be perfectly comforting/rebuking/appropriate for our moments!
Alicia, I am so thankful for the refreshment of the Word! Brent's teaching a 3 credit course in Leviticus this semester and he's learning so much. All of God's Word is powerful!! thanks for your friendship.
this is off the subject, but I'm trying to find a copy of the song "Complete In Thee" that Ben Nyce arranged in sheet music form. Do you either know where I could find a copy or do think you could email me your brother's email address? (I know he recorded it)
my brother's email is caleb@wakeshabible.org. Hope you read this :)
thanks, Carissa!
